The Golden Curling Club was searching for a way to attract new, younger members to the club. Wanting to connect with students at local elementary schools, they purchased a FloorCurl Starter Kit to gift to a local primary school (kindergarten to grade 3).
The students loved floor curling! A few months after the donation, the school’s physical education teacher shared that students really enjoyed the equipment. Later that year, the Golden Curling Club board decided to purchase a second set for an intermediate school (grades 4-7) and plans to purchase a third in the future.
To them, it’s important to engage with local schools because they are the future of curling. FloorCurl is the perfect way to engage these youth, as it allows them to learn the game at a young age so that they can then try it on ice.
Students loved their floor curling experience so much so that teachers scheduled curling time at the club for the students to try it on ice.
